The following press release was issued by TNA yesterday:

TWENTY MEN WILL ENTER BUT ONLY ONE WILL GET A SHOT AT THE GOLD

Nashville, TN (May 9, 2005) – This Sunday, May 15th, on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s “Hard Justice” twenty of the finest stars of TNA will compete in the Gauntlet for the Gold. The winner of this bout will receive a future NWA World Heavyweight Title match.

The Gauntlet for the Gold will begin with two TNA Stars in the ring for two minutes. Every ninety seconds another TNA Star will enter until two are left inside the Six Sided Ring. Once the final two remain the bout turns from over-the-top elimination to a pin fall or submission match.

At the present time Director of Authority, Dusty Rhodes, has only announced a few names for this once in a career opportunity but already the list is filled with big time players in TNA Wrestling. Abyss, Ron “The Truth” Killings, Apolo, Lance Hoyt & Bobby Roode will all get a chance to run the gauntlet at “Hard Justice.”

This Friday on “iMPACT!” 10 men will compete in a similar gauntlet to determine who will be the first entrant on May 15th and who will be the last. The action is sure to be intense for what is at stake, an opportunity to face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
