Pro's from the Palace (#23) - Making A Stab at Hard Justice (Predictions)
On Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 4:09 PM EST Time, unfortunately for me, is short, so let's get down to it. Predictions from a NON-TNA authority for Hard Justice tonight: Let's see.
Shark Boy vs. David Young
This is scheduled for the countdown show. I have not seen either one of them for some time, but I do know that Shark Boy has experienced some push in the past when David Young has basically been TNA's overhyped Barry Horowitz. Anyone who is caught dead in that outfit deserves a prop, so here it is.
Winner: Shark Boy
Like I said, I don't know much about the product.
Team Canada vs. Apolo & Sonny Siaki
Simply from the fact that Apolo & Siaki are not a pre-formed tag team like Team Canada, and with the psychotic Scott D'Amore at ringside, Team Canada will take this. Which members of Team Canada will go for the D'Amore led squad? I know of Petey Williams, former X Champ, I know of Bobby Roode, and I know of the dude who is hurt, who replaces him? Which two go tonight? Good question.
Winner: Team Canada
Diamond Dallas Page & B.G. James vs. The Outlaw & Monty Brown
Man, do I want to see this feud with the old Road Dogg & Billy Gunn in WWE. I think it has a lot of potential. I also thought TNA was keeping these guys off the roster tonight as cost-saving procedures. Guess not, eh? So be it. With little to no storyline precedence, outside of the Lockdown six man, the two elements of intrigue are obviously Outlaw and BG. DDP, I can't comment on. I am watching recently King of the Ring 2001, where at his best, he got his ass kicked by the Undertaker. Things haven't looked good since. Monty Brown, probably en route to WWE, along with AJ Styles, if TnA doesn't do the right thing, I'll explain later, is probably going to dominate DDP, giving Outlaw and the Serengeti psycho the win. Outlaw and BG should cancel each other out.
Winner: Outlaw & Monty Brown
Michael Shane & Trinity vs. Chris Sabin & Traci
Sad that two major league X Division competitors are being booked in a mixed tag match as pawns for Trinity and Traci's long standing rivalry. What's going to happen to either of these two with Dusty out of the picture as head booker, and more than likely in the near future, DoA? Time will tell. This is a pick 'em match. Personally, I've seen Sabin briefly, and he gave Wrestlevie an interview, so I'll pick Sabin.
Hey, I never said I knew what I was talking about.
Winner: Traci & Chris Sabin
Raven's House of Fun Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Raven
Why isn't this called Clockwork Orange anymore? Tell me I'm crazy, but isn't this a glorified hardcore match? Jeff has experience in hardcore so he'll give Raven a run for his money. Being though that this is Raven's match, I'll pick him, although after watching Invasion's 2001 match between Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam for the WWF Hardcore title, it's a little tough to pick against Jeff.
But, I will.
Winner: Raven
For the NWA World Tag Team Titles
The Naturals defend against America's Most Wanted
This match ought to be very difficult for the Naturals to compete in, or it is going to be the beginning of a newly tenacious team, trying to prove something to their friend, mentor, and manager, the late Chris Candido. I think Douglas and Stevens will be highly motivated in this contest and take it to Harris & Storm, resulting in a successful title defense.
Winners: The Naturals
20 Man Gauntlet for the Gold
Winner is the new #1 contender for the NWA World Title
I have to believe that a significant amount of competitors who are competing already will be back in this match, because I don't think TNA has enough competitors to single book the pay per view. With that in mind, I'm going to take Raven to win the gauntlet, and you'll find out why in a moment.
Winner: Raven
NWA TNA X Division Championship Match
Christopher Daniels defends against Shocker
Daniels is a sick man. He is twisted, and he is uber talented. As much of a resume as Shocker may have, Daniels still has people to take on as the kingpin of the X Division. Also, with what I am going to predict, It's going to be necessary for Daniels to keep the X title. I'll explain shortly.
Winner; Christopher Daniels
For the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, with special referee UFC superstar Tito Ortiz
Jeff Jarrett defends against AJ Styles
The new papa, AJ version 1, gets another crack at the King of the Mountain for the biggest prize in independent wrestling, the NWA World Heavyweight title. I personally believe, and I think Jeff Jarrett shares the same thought, that if TNA doesn't give AJ Styles a major push, right now, that when his contract ends in the near future, he's going to take a walk to the WWE. Jarrett has managed to dodge so many bullets, it makes Triple H look good. Tito Ortiz will not be much of a difference maker, Styles just manages to beat Jarrett, almost cleanly, to start his third reign as NWA World Champion. As champ, he would have two major league matchups ready to go following this pay per view, obviously a title defense against Raven, who wins the gauntlet, in my opinion, and also, champion vs. champion, X Division vs. Heavyweight Division. You could book that thing to the ends of the earth, it would be enormous.
Winner & NEW NWA World Champion - AJ Styles
Anyways, I just wanted to take a stab. Debate me.

See ya down the road. Obviously, I'll have a more detailed predictions column for Judgment Day next week.
