Backstage Notes from Hard Justice - Ortiz attitude, Rhodes & Jeff Hardy
On Monday, May 16, 2005 at 6:44 PM EST Former UFC Champion Tito Ortiz reportedly carried himself with a great amount of respect towards the wrestling business last night at the Hard Justice PPV in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. According to reports, Ortiz was very nice to everyone backstage and seemed to enjoy himself. TNA is said to be interested in doing more with him down the line.
Since resigning as head booker of TNA last week, Dusty Rhodes was said to be in great spirits backstage at the PPV last night in Orlando. One TNA source described Rhodes as someone who had the weight of the world removed from his shoulders so to speak.
There was said to be a lot of stress on Bob Ryder last night as he was given the task of trying to track down Jeff Hardy. It turns out Hardy missed multiple flights to Orlando and arrived shortly after the PPV concluded late Sunday night. There was talk among TNA staff and workers regarding if Hardy would be dropped from the company for his recent actions, but many feel it wouldn't happen given that the company is banking on signing Matt Hardy in July and would like to put together a Hardy Boyz type reunion for an upcoming PPV event this summer.
