TNA has officially canceled the scheduled May 31 TV taping in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios this Tuesday due to the company's television deal with Fox Sports Net expiring this weekend. All tapings up until the Slammiversary PPV on June 19 have been canceled as well. Two tapings were scheduled before the PPV with one on May 31 and the other on June 14.

TNA will still run the Slammiversary PPV (which celebrates the company's third year) on June 19 as scheduled even though they will have no television to help build the show and hype additional matches that had yet to be announced at the first Impact! taping that aired last week. The second taping that airs today doesn't help much in that department either.

TNA is still in negotiations with WGN as we speak. Once something is finalized, the company will announce a return TV taping for the program. According to reports, the hope was that they could announce a live TV taping for June 20. That is one day after the Slammiversary PPV and on a Monday, meaning they are pushing for a timeslot that will either go head-to-head with RAW or air before/after WWE. This of course all depends on how negotiations go with WGN in the next few days. We will follow that as it develops.

TNA also posted the following message in their official forum area: "All Impact tapings at Universal have been cancelled up until the Slammiversary PPV. The PPV has not been cancelled. Since there was news of this circulating on the internet we wanted to confirm it as soon as possible so that anyone making plans to attend would be aware. The next possible Impact tapings will be right after the PPV. As more details are received we will post them here. Thank you for understanding."
