ECW PPV Notes: Dean Malenko update, Sky Sports & autograph session
On Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 8:50 PM EST After official matches and a list of workers were announced on the section for the ECW One Night Stand PPV on WWE.com, some had wondered if Dean Malenko would be working the show. Malenko, who has been a road agent for WWE the last few years, reportedly has a family obligation that falls during the weekend of the ECW PPV and will be unavailable for the show. Plans could always change down the line however.

Sky Sports in the UK had originally pulled all advertising for the upcoming ECW PPV during all WWE shows, but started airing the commercials this week. Paul Heyman's voiceover for the commercial states the show would be airing live at 1am on Sky Sports 1, despite it still being listed as airing at Midnight on WWE's website.
To clarify some reports on other websites, WWE announcing the afternoon autograph session for $400 ticketholders to the ECW PPV was in no way a ploy to compete with the Ring of Honor show a few blocks away at the same time where Shane Douglas will be given an open mic to talk about WWE's version that night. The session was already decided upon before the Douglas announcement and was a way to move the $400 tickets a bit more. Since then, tickets have been moving for those seats according to a Ticketmaster source.
