Ring of Honor addresses rumors of CM Punk, Joe and Danielson to WWE
On Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 11:22 AM EST - In ROH's latest newsire, Gabe Sapolsky made mention of the possibility of Punk and Joe leaving ROH for WWE. He says, "ROH will attempt to secure CM Punk and Samoa Joe, but there is a chance either or both of their last ROH matches might be coming in the future. Don't miss what could be one of your last chances to see these competitors fight with no limitations in ROH. They will both be in action this Sunday at the huge ROH event in Manhattan."
In addition to that, he also says that if Punk, Joe and Danielson were to leave to go to WWE, it would open up new spots in ROH, similar to when TNA pulled several wrestlers from ROH, and thus, Generation Next was born.
