More on CM Punk's current situation; info about financial options, more
On Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 1:02 AM EST -CM Punk's money decision for choosing between WWE or signing a deal with TNA & being able to still work independent events is fairly one-sided. If he were to end up accepting a deal with TNA for roughly $750-$1000 an appearance, at about 40 appearances a year, plus work as a regular in ROH, FIP, IWA-MS and working as the head trainer in ROH's wrestling school, Punk still wouldn't hit the roughly $300,000 salary-range that could be available to him after a couple years in the WWE, on top of a considerably lighter work load.
The only downside it, if he starts off on a developmental deal, he would probably make more with his indy work, but wouldn't have the opportunity to progress to the larger WWE figures. The ball is in Punk's court now, we'll have to sit back and see what he does with it.
