C.M. Punk to have final Ring of Honor match this Saturday in New Jersey
On Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 12:44 PM EST C.M. Punk confirmed reports in his "livejournal" (to visit, click here) that this Saturday in Morristown, New Jersey at Death Before Dishonor III would mark his final appearance with Ring of Honor when he challenges Austin Aries for the ROH Title. Punk has been in talks with World Wrestling Entertainment for months now based on some strong appearances at various TV tapings and is expected to sign with them this week.
Punk's departure from ROH is also very similar to the way Paul London left the promotion in 2003 at the first ever Death Before Dishonor when he faced then ROH Champion Samoa Joe in the main event and headed to WWE shortly afterwards where he went on to become a former WWE Tag Team Champion and currently holds the company's WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
