========================

The Big Mosh & The Angry Hero welcome Traci Brooks back to the show, her SECOND appearance on the Mayhem and the first female guest of the internet-era MNM. In addition to her TNA exposure, Traci Brooks is honored to the June 2005 Babe of the Month over at www.AudioWresting.com

Traci starts off by expressing her happiness in being paired with Michael Shane again in TNA, hopefully partaking in some X-Division gold at the Slammiversary PPV. She enjoys working with Michael and is quite pleased with the new TNA booking committee’s outlook for the pair.

Traci is cool working with Trinity in TNA but definitely feels its time to bring in more female wresting talent. She thinks that all the WWE women wrestlers that have been released as of late could work to TNA’s advantage. Traci has actually spoken to Molly Holly about doing matches together and anticipates Gail Kim coming around soon, having been backstage at a recent TNA taping.

Mosh brings up the point that while both Chris Sabin and Michael Shane have women in their corner this Sunday at Slammiversary in their 3-way match against Christopher Daniels, the “Fallen Angel” is all alone. Traci thinks Daniels is fine without a valet but notes it would be a good way to introduce a new lady into TNA. She goes on again to stress the need for diversity in the TNA women’s division; since people can only watch Trinity and her go at it so many times.

On the topic of the 2005 Raw Diva Search, Traci is quite outspoken, understanding how frustrating it must be for current WWE guys and girls to fight for air time against girls who aren’t even REQUIRED to be wrestle. She mentions how she loved seeing Victoria “kick Maria” and beat up the other “divas” on RAW recently and goes on to put Victoria over as the best “all around diva”. Traci dares the new divas to take bumps like she does, go on the road and deal with having “your car repossessed” and “eating from the dollar menu” just to do what she truly loves to do. Overall, Traci acknowledges that the diva search is ultimately what the people want to see and having the valets is just as important as having women wrestlers.

Traci also gives her take on the whole Tough Enough deal, where someone wins a contract without having to go through the trials and tribulations of working the indies. She thinks a lot of wrestlers in OVW are chosen to succeed based on looks; she jokes that you could just put some of them in black tights and call them “Zeus II.” Traci is happy to see guys like Johnny Swinger, Kazarian, and CM Punk get their due after plying their trade on the circuit.

Traci talks about Alexis Laree, who has been in OVW for quite some time. She one of Traci’s favorites, has a look that appeals to a wide variety of fans and definitely sees good things for her future. Traci goes on to put over the women wrestlers that aren’t your typical blondes and brunettes like Molly, Gail and Victoria – something TNA provides as opposed to the WWE.

Traci enjoyed being of Dusty Rhodes’s assistants along with Trinity at the PPVs and on Impact. She says Dusty went out of his way to get her acknowledged on TV and very easy to play off of as a character.

Getting in more about the new TNA booking committee, Traci says things are running well, with Terry Taylor and Scott D’Amore going out of their way to call the wrestlers and give them updates about the company. She thinks the new committee is tapping into the younger demographic, including the female audience, since in her opinion, TNA has a lot of “hot guys.”

Traci mentions working with Johnny Fairplay, putting him over as truly a good guy and very generous. She relays a story how he bought her friend some designer clothes that Traci never heard of since she only shops at Wal-Mart. Traci jokingly admits Johnny could be a bit annoying and liked beating him up (and cracking one of his ribs).

Traci did watch the ECW One Night Stand PPV but never got into ECW back in the day since Canada never got the stations it was on. She thinks it was an emotional event and nice to see a lot of former ECW guys get some serious recognition. Mosh ponders what could have been if Traci and Francine ever had an ECW-style catfight. Traci is all about catfights and admits to learning how from Terry Taylor and Scott D’Amore. Traci would have loved to have been in Shane Douglas’s corner at Hardcore Homecoming and wishes ECW was still around.

In closing, Traci gives her expectations for Slammiversary, hoping the buyrates are good with the absence of TV to build up the event. Traci jokes that she also doesn’t want to get beat up by any of her foes in the match with Sabin, Daniels and Trinity all involved. She doesn’t think TNA is going to be fading away anytime soon and urges the fans to check out the promotion or all the independents if they are sick of the WWE product.

Be sure to see Traci in Michael Shane’s corner this Sunday at TNA’s Slammiversary PPV in the X-Division title match also featuring Chris Sabin (with Trinity) and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. Also, check out more of Traci at her new site, www.tnatracibrooks.com and www.tnawrestling.com!

Traci is also the featured cover girl this month on the AudioWrestling.com website where this entire interview is now available to hear for FREE in streaming audio!
