According to several live reports from Death Before Dishonor III in New Jersey, CM Punk is the new Ring of Honor World Champion. As has been highly documented lately, this had been billed all over as Punk's final match. While we really don't know what's happening right now for sure, we do know that CM Punk was never announced by himself, or anyone else, as having signed with WWE. Punk noted he had an offer that he hadn't signed, not that he would sign it. Also, Punk reportedly turned heel after the match, calling the fans "sheep", and said he was keeping the belt.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, as it could either lead to a Road to the Title II and Crowning a Champion II-type events to name a new champion, or possibly Survival of the Fittest II for the title if Punk is truly leaving. Or, Punk could be the new champion, and staying put in ROH. If that's the case, it could be one of the best works ever; one that had all the smarks that follow ROH religiously (myself included) fooled.

We'll have full results from Death Before Dishonor III later today here on WrestleView.
