3PW presented "Resurrection" last night at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA. The crowd was down somewhat from the last show crowd of over 400, but this was to be expected given what had been billed as CM Punk's last match for Ring of Honor in Morristown, NJ which drew a large crowd, but was still well above the crowds of January and February, when many thought the promotion was on its last legs.

Match results:

  • Messiah defeated Sterling James Keenan in what had been scheduled as a weapons match; only to have Messiah do a heel promo, rapping hardcore wrestling in general (mentioning CZW and XPW) saying that he could WRESTLE. While it was obvious that this was the case, the match seemed to fall apart somewhat in points.

  • Monsta Mack defeated Josh Daniels by pinfall

  • Kris Krude defeated Damian Adams by pinfall

  • 3PW Tag Team Championship Match:
Blackball'd (Rockin Rebel and Greg Matthews) defended their Tag Team Titles against TNA's America's Most Wanted. As over as they are as babyfaces in certain places, AMW did a good R-rated heel pre-match promo managing to insult various people's sex lives, ECW, and Philadelphia in general.

  • In a #1 contenders match for the 3PW Tag Team Titles, Notorious, Inc. won the Tag Team Gauntlet match

  • In a Strap Match, Greg Spitz and CJ O'Doyle went to a double knockout finish.

  • B-Boy defeated Ruckus (with Robby Mireno)

  • In a 3PW Heavyweight #1 Contendership Match, Simon Diamond (with Talia) defeated Slyck Wagner Brown (with April Hunter)

Brian "Blue Meanie" Heffron came out to do a shoot promo, talking about the last several months in his life; including being publicly dumped by Jasmin St.Claire. Then he discussed January 15th, when St. Claire for all practical purposes walked out on a company company, leaving Heffron and Chuck Williams to tell the 3PW locker room that night that they had no idea if the workers were getting paid that night..and that they'd get paid on the live gate and not much else. He said he'd kept 3PW going because he loved the business, and discussed deaths of two grandparents, both of whom told him not to give up on his dream shortly before their passing.

He then ripped on John Layfield and his action at last week's WWE "One Night Stand" ECW-themed PPV.

Justin Credible came out and ragged on Meanie before superkicking him in the face. Meanie sold the kick to the eye/forehead, and was taken to the back, seguing into...

  • Roadkill successfully defending his 3PW Championship over the returning Justin Credible

Post-match, in a great closing scene, Simon Diamond pointed at Roadkill...challenging him at the July 16 3PW return show at the ECW Arena. Also scheduled is a "Hell's Kitchen Death Match" between Greg Spitz and CJ O'Doyle.
