Memphis police officer pleads guilty to charges of robbing Lawlers home
On Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 1:28 PM EST Memphis police officer David Tate recently pleaded guilty to numerous charges against him, including conspiracy to rob the home of WWE star Jerry "The King" Lawler. Tate openly admitted that he planned to murder Lawler if he got in his way.
The guilty plea was part of an agreement with federal prosecutors to drop two drug counts and child pornography charges in exchange for Tate receiving a 14-year sentence. News of this has been a very majory story in the Memphis market today.
