Note on WWE releasing an announcer today & more cutbacks expected
On Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 8:01 PM EST Wade Keller of PWTorch.com is reporting that WWE announcer Marc Loyd was given his release from the company today. As reported earlier this week, WWE is in the process of doing some major cutbacks in preparation for the move to the USA Network in October as they released ten office workers last week and four so far this week.
Loyd's release had more than likely to do with the fact that WWE will no longer have three weekend shows and will instead be cutting it down to one on USA. According to reports, his desk was cleared off as of this afternoon at the WWE office. In addition, some wrestler cutbacks could be coming soon as was expected in reports that made the rounds earlier this week following the dual TV taping for both RAW and SmackDown in Anaheim.
