Former WWE star & Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas made his first post-WWE wrestling appearance at the Jersey All Pro Wrestling event this past Saturday in Rahway, New Jersey. Haas competed in a six man tag team match teaming with Jay Lethal and Poppa Lethal against Steve Corino, Ricky Landell and Rick Silver. Haas, Jay & Poppa won the contest after Haas put Landell in the Haas of Pain for the win.

Haas debut was an obvious surprise the entire night and the crowd gave him a very warm reception since he got his start in JAPW. Haas mentioned this on the mic following the match. A loud "WELCOME BACK" chant started up and Haas appeared to be touched by it. A loud "F*** VINCE" chant started up and Haas joined them in chanting it. A chant for his late brother Russ was also started. The night ended with Haas jumping Lethal and challenged him to a title match at the September 10th event.

Many were under the impression that the 16 wrestlers that were released from WWE two weeks ago were all subject to a 90 day period clause in their contract. This may have been a case of WWE allowing Haas to work one shot as he doesn't have any scheduled bookings coming up. Haas appearing in TNA would obviously be out of the question until October.
