Big update on Spike TV & TNA talks; finalized television deal in the works
On Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 2:04 AM EST Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that TNA's expected television deal with Spike TV has been "signed, sealed and delivered." The only remaining thing regarding the deal is a legal issue that has expired or was about to as of this week that would delay both parties making the official announcement.
As soon as that legal issue expires, the announcement regarding TNA debuting on Spike TV could be made as soon as early today or at the Impact! tapings tonight in Orlando, FL where TNA will tape four hours worth of footage heading into the Sacrifice PPV on August 14.
Talk of TNA's new deal with Spike TV appeared all but confirmed following the airing of an opening video package at the No Surrender PPV when a cryptic message was inserted into the package with some audio altered, but when played back revealed the deep-voiced TNA announcer saying quote, "TNA is coming to Spike TV."
