Triple H's absence, Rob Conway's new gimmick, Shane McMahon @ Raw
On Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 4:37 PM EST - Even though Triple H has been working recent house shows and has been attending live events, the current plan is for him to remain off of television for at least the next two months. He is currently planning on taking at least two months off for “personal reasons” and to let his body rest although he does not have any current injuries, wrestling all the time has understandably taken a toll on his body. Even though he will not be working matches, he will be involved behind the scenes, for those that do not know he is currently involved in some of the creative meetings and as well as other duties. That will continue and expand as he already is and will continue to spend more time at WWE Headquarters (formerly Titan Towers) where he has been cordial and friendly with the front office staff. His time off is NOT related to Hulk Hogan’s return as has been reported on the internet these last few weeks. Although it was originally Vince McMahon’s idea to have Triple H take some time off, he is said to be using it wisely. It is possible that he will remain off of television until November. This is yet another sign of Triple H being fully welcomed as family in the McMahon world as Shane and Stephanie worked almost all aspects of WWE over the years, even if only for a day or two, to learn the business and it now appears that is what Triple H is intending to do. We will have more details on when he is going to return as well as any updates on a rumored match with Ric Flair here on WrestleView.com when they become available.
- Rob Conway is working a new gimmick. He has removed himself from the La Resistance gimmick and is now doing things “the Con-Way”. WWE management is said to be very high on him and a singles push should be in line for Conway.
- Shane McMahon was backstage at the July 11th Raw television taping. While Shane almost always attends Pay Per Views and most television events after a pay per view, no matter where they originate from, he doesn’t usually attend the regular tapings unless they are in the New York area.
