- In the United States, certain PPV channels have been playing commercials for SummerSlam, and in the most recent case, a match listing was given, before they were official announced...

Once again, some of these matches have not yet been officialy announced, so if you do not want to be spoiled, please do not read any further...

Here are the five matches that the PPV preview was advertising...

  • Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels
  • Triple H vs. Ric Flair
  • Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
  • Muhammad Hassan vs. Batista
  • John Cena defends the WWE title against Edge

A couple of interesting things to note. Muhammad Hassan vs. Batista was originally planned for the PPV, which could mean plans have changed for Hassan's character, who may be re-packaged thus allowing him to stay on WWE television, if not, expect that match to be altered.

Second, Cena vs. Edge was also the original plan for SummerSlam, as Edge could of "cashed in" his money in the bank for a title match. However, now that Matt Hardy has returned and started a program with Edge, the change was made to put Jericho in the title match vs. Cena.
