Backstage reaction to Great American Bash, main event finish, Hassan
On Monday, July 25, 2005 at 3:24 PM EST According to reports, the word backstage at The Great American Bash PPV event last night was that Vince McMahon knew it was a bad show. McMahon was said to have been in an obvious bad mood throughout the day backstage at the show in Buffalo. Feedback for the show last night has been extremely negative, although if anything nice could be said about the show, it was a lot better than last year's Bash (although that really isn't saying much).
We do know that many within the company were a bit confused regarding the finish for the main event between Batista and JBL for the World Heavyweight Title, which resulted in a DQ finish for a $34.95 event.
It should be noted that the Arabic background music that was played for the video package at The Great American Bash for The Undertaker/Muhammad Hassan match was not music, but rather a Muslim "call to prayer."
