Update on Cena's CD, new WWE writers causing headaches and Hassan
On Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 3:48 PM EST John Cena's "You Can't See Me" CD has continued its slow decent on the Billboard "Top 200" chart. It is know coming in at No. 145, down from last week's 131 spot. This is the 11th week the CD has been on the charts.
There was said to be a good amount of "eye-rolling" among not only wrestlers, but even front office and production staff within WWE regarding the latest round of TV writers the company has brought in. Many have noted how the writers don't even know the most basic wrestling insider terms and make some conversations impossible or a cause for explanation. The general feeling among many is that Stephanie McMahon has an almost obsession with WWE moving as far away from its roots as possible. The last writer hired with extensive wrestling knowledge was Court Bauer, but is not included in the main mix for RAW or SmackDown as he writes Velocity. It should be noted that Stephanie loved this week's RAW because it had a very off-beat entertainment factor to it.
