As I reported yesterday, former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes did have a meeting with head of creative for World Wrestling Entertainment, Stephanie McMahon. It is believed that during the meeting she offered Dusty a creative role in the company either as a road agent or as a member of the creative team with the possibility of him appearing on camera as well.

This is not the first time; however, that Rhodes and WWE have talked about the possibility of him coming in. Last year they had discussions about Rhodes coming in a creative capacity and as a member of the 2005 WWE Hall of Fame but the TNA booking position came up and Rhodes decided to stay with TNA (the company he was with at the time).

We will continue to have more on this as it comes in.

Last night during the interview with Jim Cornette on Between The Ropes, Cornette avoided the incident where he smacked an OVW student in the face that led to his release from World Wrestling Entertainment. He says he has no animosity towards WWE and actually believes they did him a favor as he was feeling burnt out.

Even though he is still a partner in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Jim isn’t expected to take it easy for the next few months. As stated he is burnt out and needs a rest. The only things he has planned at this time are his appearances at Wrestlereunion 2, The NWA Legends Convention, and Tony Hunter’s Tribute To Starrcade
