Triple H vs Ric Flair Update, WWE Smackdown Rating, Hulk Hogan news
On Friday, August 5, 2005 at 3:10 PM EST - The originally planned match between Ric Flair and Triple H for SummerSlam has been called off for the time being. The match (which had some minor promotion already for it) will likely take place sometime in the fall when Triple H makes his return to television. There is still no word yet on when exactly Triple H will return with some saying next month, other’s saying not until November.
- As reported on earlier, Smackdown scored 3.6 overnight rating with a 6 share. The final number should be out later tonight or sometime over the weekend.

- VH1 has renewed the contract for Hogan Knows Best and will be bringing it back for a second season during the first quarter of 2006. VH1 sent out the following press release about the renewal:

The July 10 season premiere of "Hogan Knows Best," was the number one rated telecast in the P18-49 demographic for the night, breaking VH1 records with a 1.9 in the demo. It was the highest rated series premiere in the network's history and the highest rated regular episode telecast ever.
The new order will include 12 episodes, 4 more than the show's first season. Season 2 is slated to premiere in first quarter 2006.
"Hogan Knows Best" is produced by Pink Sneakers Productions for VH1. Kimberly Belcher Cowin is Executive Producer. John Ehrhard is Producer. Scott Bennett is Director/Co-Producer.
