- In an effort to boost their visibility in the mainstream, TNA, is in negotiations with Wal-Mart about distributing their DVD’s at the many Wal-Mart stores. TNA recognizes that if they were to get their DVD’s in Wal-Mart next to WWE produced DVD’s (who really own the market on Wal-Mart) it would not only help boost them into the mainstream but it would be a way to directly compete against WWE. Bill Blanks of
TNAWrestling.com has said that the plan is to “distribute combination packs of recent PPVs including Victory Road, Turning Point, and Lockdown to place several hours of PPV footage into one low price offering.”

- New TNA star Samoa Joe was on the Wrestling Weekly Radio Show last week and said that the reason he signed with TNA is because he wants to continue to be apart of Ring of Honor and WWE’s travel schedule wouldn’t allow it. It simply doesn’t fit into his current life. On CM Punk signing a WWE development contract, Joe says he was already working dark matches so it was good for him. He also states he was happy to drop the ROH title to Austin Aries saying it was a “welcome relief” after carrying around the belt (which weighs 15 pounds) for a year.

- TNA officials realize they need to make a big splash when iMPACT! debuts on SpikeTV in October. They are actively looking to sign some big names for the debut…we will have more on who they are looking at in the coming weeks.

- Konnan recently appear on the Monday Mayhem Show and stated that he likes the new TNA booking committee because the group is more in tune with what is relevant with today’s wrestling audience. He says the new booking committee (which replaced Dusty Rhodes) is more focused on developing storylines that serve the fans are aren’t done solely to amuse themselves as he believes was the case with Jeff Jarrett, Dutch Mantel and Dusty Rhodes. He says he likes the storyline with 3 Live Kru/BG James and Kip James saying that although he thinks it has gone on a little long (he realistically believes that it will conclude when they get on Spike) he believes it is one of the better angles in TNA right now.
