Final SmackDown rating, Detroit wants WrestleMania 23 and The Coach
On Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 10:11 PM EST I would like to thank Ryan Allen, Ryan Droste, Ben Bauer and Jay Flannagan for helping out while I was away on vacation for the past five days. Also, Paul Nemer will be returning to the site in about 2 1/2 weeks. We have many things already in the planning stages for WrestleView.com in the coming weeks so stay tuned for that.
The 8/4 edition of WWE SmackDown drew a final 2.9 broadcast rating with a 5.3 share. This is down from what the show has been averaging in the last few weeks and not considered a solid number at all given the small amount of competition on the big networks.
The Detroit News has a story up about how Ford Field (the home of the Detroit Lions) is looking to host WrestleMania in 2007. This would mark WrestleMania's 20th anniversary since WrestleMania 3 that took place the old Pontiac Silverdome. For more, click here.
