We've been told that former ROH Champion Austin Aries will be included in the list of those on a poll that will debut on TNAwrestling.com today to determine who will face current X Division Champion Christopher Daniels in a Non-Title Match at the Sacrifice PPV next Sunday on August 14. We will no doubt add word of the full list once it becomes available later today.

As reported earlier this week, the final Impact! before the Sacrifice PPV will be available for viewing on TNA's website this Wednesday, August 10 instead of this Friday. I will have a full report of the show up later that day as Ryan Droste will be away on vacation.

TNA added the following press release as well regarding the Sean Waltman vs. Jerry Lynn match at Sacrifice next week that I failed to mention in my earlier post on Sunday night:

OVER A DECADE IN THE MAKING: LYNN VS. WALTMAN ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 14 AT “SACRIFICE”

Nashville, TN (August 5, 2005) – When Sean Waltman and Jerry Lynn face-off at “Sacrifice” on Sunday, August 14, old friends will become foes.

Lynn and Waltman broke into the business together more than a decade ago in Minneapolis. At the time, Waltman was down on his luck with no money, no place to live and no prospects. Lynn gave him a place to stay, something to eat and his first break as a professional wrestler.

Waltman’s career has been well chronicled since then. He has risen through the ranks to become one of the most successful – and controversial - stars in wrestling history.

A true ring warrior and pioneer, Lynn has been out of competition for over a year due to a torn rotator cuff. A testament to his valor, he put off surgery after his initial diagnosis and led Team TNA to the World X Cup Championship in May 2004.

Last month at “No Surrender,” Jerry Lynn, in the role of special referee, called it down-the-middle and prevented Waltman from using a steel chair in his match against AJ Styles. When the match was over Waltman blamed Lynn for interfering and the loss.

Now, the pioneers of the high-flying X style are set to face off in the ring for the first time in over a decade. On Sunday, August 14 live and exclusively on Pay-Per-View, Sean Waltman will attempt to ruin Jerry Lynn’s much-anticipated TNA in-ring return. Will he accomplish his mission, or will Lynn celebrate his return with a triumphant win?
