- Ken Kennedy defeated unknown wrestler.
- Hardcore Holly defeated Steven Richards.
WWE SmackDown Tapings (Air Date - August 18):
- The show opened with a ladder in the ring and Eddie Guerrero coming out. Guerrero said Teddy Long made the right decision in making his match against Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam a Ladder Match. He said at SummerSlam he would be the one to climb up the ladder, get the custody papers and do it for all the fathers out there. Guerrero said that Dominick would become the greatest Guerrero of all time and that he was going home this Sunday.
- Joey Mercury & Melina defeated Booker T & Sharmell.
- Backstage, Sharmell confronted Booker T about the loss that took place earlier. She asked Booker where he was during the match (Mercury held Booker's leg when Melina pinned her). Sharmell said she is always there for Booker 24/7 and that he better step up.

He then guaranteed a win over Batista and that he gets to pick an opponent for tonight in a No Holds Barred warm-up match. JBL picked Funaki.
- JBL vs. Funaki in a No Holds Barred Match ended in a No Contest. JBL destroyed Funakie in the match and just as he was about to pin him, Batista came out and took out JBL with a steel chair. - Rey Mysterio defeated Simon Dean.
- The Peep Show: Christian came out and said he had another huge guest this week, with that being the person who kicked Batista's ass last week: himself. The Mexicools then sat down on the couch and did their usual catchphrase of not being "Mexican...but Mexicool."
- Backstage, Josh Mathews interviewed Rey Mysterio. Mysterio said that he sees Eddie everywhere he goes. He called Eddie a son of a bitch and said even though he is Dominick's biological father, he raised him and his family. Mysterio closed out the promo saying that after SummerSlam, Dominick is coming home with him.
- Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit. After the match, the lights went out and then The Undertaker appeared. Undertaker gave Orton a chokeslam and ran his hand across his throat to signal the end of Orton.
