More on Frankie Kazarian's WWE departure, TV.com, and SummerSlam
On Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 2:37 PM EST As promised earlier today, some more details have been made available regarding Frankie Kazarian's departure from WWE this past week. Along with WWE management wanting to change Kazarian's look by cutting his hair, Kazarian became even more frustrated when WWE creative lacked any strong ideas for his character on the SmackDown brand. To make matters worse, one new WWE writer didn't even know Kazarian was a contracted wrestler with the company at a recent TV taping. This same writer also referred to a "dark match" as a "lights-out match" at one point in front of Kazarian and other workers that got some laughs. As heavily reported on before, there is said to be a growing frustration among many in WWE over the lack of knowledge many current writers have of the business.

Numerous readers sent word to us that while TV.com does list Brock Lesnar as appearing at WWE SummerSlam 2005, it also lists a host of other current and former WWF/WWE stars as being scheduled to appear as well. An example of this is that Bret Hart is also being listed for the event. So, it basically shouldn't be taken that seriously. (Thanks to Ryan Leesley, Kyle & Andrew Cannon for sending word)
Joe Bigg sent in the following: I was just chillin at the Jersey Shore this past Sunday and saw something I never saw before...a wrestling promo in the sky. I looked up at the advertisements the planes fly over the ocean in the sky and noticed a big promo for SummerSlam it had the date, time, etc. The match that was advertised was Hogan vs. HBK.
