Matt Hardy called into the "Opie and Anthony" show earlier this morning. During the show, Opie called out Matt and felt his whole situation with WWE and Edge/Lita was a work and that he was never fired. Hardy quickly denied this and added that it was as real as a wrestling angle can get. One caller said that his character upon returning was ruined when he came out of a limo and shook hands with Vince McMahon and that he is now at the bottom of the card on SummerSlam. Hardy brushed off the question a bit and said he won't be at the bottom when Hogan & Michaels will be main-eventing.

Matt Striker signing with WWE was mentioned in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated along with a photo. Striker has continued to get press over his WWE signing in the New York City area as well.
