SmackDown and Velocity Taping Results - from Greensboro, NC

The following took place on Tuesday in Greensboro:

Dark Match:

- Sylvain Grenier defeated unknown wrestler.

WWE Velocity Tapings (Air Date - August 27):

- Big Vito defeated unknown wrestler.

- Doug Basham defeated Caprice Coleman.

- Simon Dean defeated Russell Simpson.

- Scotty 2 Hotty defeated William Regal via DQ. The DQ was caused when Paul Birchall made his WWE debut helping Regal take out Hotty.

WWE SmackDown Tapings (Air Date - August 25):

- Randy Orton w/ "Cowboy" Bob Orton defeated Hardcore Holly.

- SmackDown GM Teddy Long came out along with a "UPN Representative" to announce SmackDown's move to Friday night starting on September 9th and that the show would now be known as "Friday Night SmackDown." Long also announced that a SummerSlam Re-Match would be taking place at the show when Batista defends the World Heavyweight Title against JBL.

- The Peep Show: Christian's special guest(s) this week were Booker T and Sharmell. During the segment, The Mexicools came out and ended up being ran off by both Christian and Booker T.

- Heidenreich defeated Joey Mercury via DQ. The DQ took place when Johnny Nitro took out Heidenreich with a steel chair.

- Backstage, newly crowned WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit joked that he beat Orlando Jordan faster at SummerSlam than he could drink a cup of coffee. They then played the tape from SummerSlam in a split screen form with Benoit drinking coffee.

- Backstage, JBL went off on Orlando Jordan for losing the WWE United States Title. It was announced that the main event tonight would feature World Champion Batista, WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit & Rey Mysterio against Eddie Guerrero, JBL & Orlando Jordan.

- Psicosis & Super Crazy defeated Booker T & Christian. During the match, Christian argued with Sharmell and then walked out on the match allowing Crazy to pin Booker.

- Backstage, Randy Orton was with his father Bob Orton. Randy said that at SummerSlam, The Undertaker's legacy was destroyed and then signed a copy of the new Undertaker DVD. Orton joked that it would be going up for auction on WWE's website with all proceeds going to The Undertaker retirement fund.

- SmackDown GM Teddy Long came out again and announced that a Lingerie Match would be taking place between Stacy Keibler and Christy Hemme. The "UPN Representative" then came out and said they couldn't have that on TV. So, they just did the match for the live crowd. Hemme won the contest.

- Ken Kennedy defeated Funaki.

- World Champion Batista, WWE United States Champion Chris Benoit & Rey Mysterio defeated Eddie Guerrero, JBL & Orlando Jordan. The match saw Jordan take all three finishers from Batista, Benoit and Mysterio to allow the pinfall.
