WWE.com posted the following message on their website this week regarding the passing of Ed "Sailor" White:

Ed 'Sailor' White (Moondog King) dead at 56
Aug. 26, 2005

Ed "Sailor" White, professionally known as Moondog King, has passed away at the age of 56. White entered WWE in the early 1980s as one of the original Moondogs. King and Moondog Rex captured the World Tag Team Championship in March 1981 when they defeated Tony Garea and Rick Martel in Allentown, PA. White, a member of the Canadian Wrestling Hall of Fame, was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, in 1949.
