- WWE management held a meeting with the Raw and Smackdown crews at SummerSlam. Management informed the crews of several new policies. One of the more bizzare ones is that the wrestlers are now banned from playing video games backstage. The mentality behind this is that management doesn't want the wrestlers to be distracted.

There was also a change made to the wrestlers flight and hotel policy. Management concluded the meeting by saying things are going great, and there are several big international tours to look forward too.

- One other interesting occurance at the meeting was that management discussed the importance of selling during a match. To demonstrate what the company wanted the wrestlers to do, they showed a match from Velocity featuring Stevie Richards. Managment put over Richards for his work and pointed out that he made his opponenent look great, which is what they want to see.

The humor in the situation is that to show their appreciation, Richards was rewarded with not being used the following week at the SmackDown tapings. No doubt Richards is one of the many talent who have had a tough ride with WWE. Richards has been injured several times by new talent that the company pushes. Richards got the chance to go back to his old bWo gimmick, but that was cut from the plans in less then a month.
