- UWA out of Ottawa, Ontario ran 2 shows this past weekend. Here are the results from both shows, courtesy of UWA...
Results from UWA Chaos In The Capital on August 26th, Ottawa, Ontario
The night opened with a genuine apology from Dave Dalton, who had to inform the Ottawa crowd that due to some personal issues, Rhyno would not be appearing. He made up for the cancellation by offering all Chaos In The Capital ticket holders $10.00 off on a future UWA show.
Problem was, now they didn’t have a main event….(lights out)…..lights come back up and Sabu is standing in the middle of the ring to a great ovation.
Problem now, is that Sabu needs an opponent…..(lights out)..lights come back up and UWA Heavyweight Champion Abyss is standing in the isle. Dalton announces that tonight Abyss will put the UWA Heavyweight title on the line against Sabu.
Taylor pinned Zack Storm
“Mr. Class” A1 defeated Bolen
Now Playing defeated Jason Cage, Ryan Rush & Chris Cage with help from Portia Perez
Colin Oliver Carnage III won the six man Invitational Gauntlet Match. The order of elimination was as follows.
Cinder defeated Spat-Ula
Wild Ace pinned Cinder
Tim Jim Jimbob defeated Wild Ace
COC III defeated Tim Jim Jimbob
COC III defeated Super Dave
Team Canada defeated UWA Tag Team Champions Virus and Shawn MacMillan by disqualification when Terry Mathis and Abyss interfered.
After the match, Virus expressed how pissed off he was with having to go along with teaming with “Showtime” He threw the tag team titles down (the titles were later vacated), and attacked Shawn MacMillan. Team Canada made the save, highlighted by two Canadian Destroyers by Petey Williams on Virus. After which, Shawn MacMillan said he was tired as well of Virus and that he would finally give him what he wants…a shot at the UWA Cruiserweight title the next night in Brockville.
Portia Perez took herself out of the triple-threat divas match because she didn’t feel like getting “physical” with Yce and She Nay Nay
She Nay Nay defeated Yce
After the match Portia Perez, along with her new Now Playing partners attacked She Nay Nay and Yce.
Sabu defeated Abyss to become the new Universal Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion after Bobby Roode let some aggression out on Abyss for past instances between him and Abyss.
Roode begins to hand the belt to Sabu but holds on. As they argue over the belt, A1 comes out and attacks both men, setting off a four way brawl between all men in the ring.
Results from UWA Fallout held in Brockville on August 27th, 2005
The show opened with a few announcements. Including the fact that Sabu had won the UWA Heavyweight title the night before in Ottawa, and that the main event for the evening, which originally was scheduled as Abyss vs. Bobby Roode vs. A1 would now be Sabu vs. Abyss vs. Bobby Roode for the Heavyweight title.
A rematch was made between A1 and Bolen from the previous night.
It was also announced that the UWA Tag Team titles were vacated by Virus and Shawn MacMillan and that tonight would kick off a Tag Team tournament to crown new champions.
Jason Cage pinned Caster McFear even with interference from Deeno, Cheeky and Portia Perez.
The Hollywood Hunks defeated Tim Jim Jimbob and Jebodiah Munson in a first round tag team match.
Virus won the UWA Cruiserweight title from “Showtime” Shawn MacMillan in a high impact, high flying match which saw MacMillan springboard from the ring to the crowd with a cross body block onto Virus and Virus perform a reverse 450 splash from the top rope.
A1 pinned Bolen
Zack Storm and Taylor defeated Ryan Rush and Chris Cage in a first round tag team match.
Portia Perez defeated Yce and She Nay Nay in a triple threat Divas Match
Petey Williams defeated Colin Oliver Carnage III in a back an amazing back and forth match.
Bobby Roode defeated Sabu and Abyss to win the UWA Heavyweight title.
After the match, A1 came to the entrance, mimicking that now his sights were set on Roode and the Universal Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight title.
