Somoa Joe interview, Joe on TNA's new mainstream audience and roster
On Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:16 AM EST TNAwrestling.com added an interview with Samoa Joe over the weekend prior to the Unbreakable PPV conducted by Bill Banks. In the interview, Joe talks about growing up as a child, his start in professional wrestling, what type of in-ring style he prefers and some of his favorite matches in TNA thus far.
On a related note, Joe updated his "live journal" recently and provided some interesting comments regarding the evolution of pro wrestling. "It went from "hooking", to "wrestling", to "wrasslin", to "sports entertainment". Now I have an opportunity to present you my theory, my idea for the next evolution. I know what I am, I know what I am not, trust me, but I am me. Who knows if the "mainstream" world will take to what we want to show them, but you better believe I'm going to take the chance and give it 110%. I hope your along for the ride, or at least ready to watch us roll. You can call it whatever you want but it is always "wrestling", and thats what we've got for you. Whose coming with me?" Phi Delta Slam have been removed from the roster page on TNA's official website. Despite being removed and not being used on TV by TNA much, one of the members was backstage at Unbreakable. Newly signed talent Gail Kim was added recently.
