Former Dudley's expected to sign with TNA, Waltman comments + Spike
On Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 8:10 PM EST Both Mark "Bubba Ray Dudley" Lamonica and Devon "D'Von Dudley" Hughes were backstage at the TNA Unbreakable PPV and were telling people that they have yet to sign a contract with the company yet, but expected to in time for the September 27th TV tapings for TNA's debut on Spike TV. They were also overheard talking about why they felt Matt Hardy made a huge mistake in re-signing with WWE this year and adding that he would have "had it made" if he signed with TNA instead.
A personal friend of Sean Waltman recently commented on his current situation with TNA, adding, "It's a shame he blew his TNA deal because after the last two shows, it really looked like he was shaping up and regaining the confidence of management." Another friend of Waltman's also added, "Waltman's f*****. He promised he wouldn't be late with the Spike TV people there".
On a related Spike TV note, many wrestlers that have worked for TNA since its start are hoping they company won't be ignoring them if things really take off following the debut. "I hope they don't forget about us in favor of whoever the latest wrestler is who's released from WWE looking for work," said one TNA wrestler.
