At both WWE TV tapings last week, all wrestlers who usually tend to strictly work Velocity or Sunday Night Heat tapings were told not to worry about being let go by the company. WWE plans on continuing the shows as they still have to fulfill commitments for international programming. It was rumored that some more cuts were coming before the jump to USA, but given the amount dropped this past summer, it doesn't seem likely at the moment.

News of this in a way reverses the original decision by WWE to simply cut both shows after the USA Network declined to pick up both. The thought was that they would simply be discontinued even though the company still had additional hours to fulfill internationally. USA did pick up a Saturday morning recap show titled "A.M. RAW" that will strictly recap events for the RAW brand.

It should also be noted that Jim Ross commented in the Ross Report that WWE.com was going to make an announcement regarding the status of both Sunday Night Heat and Velocity very soon. This has led many to believe that both shows will still be shown in some form. One option is streaming both shows on a weekly basis on WWE.com. This is a move that proved successful for TNA when they streamed their weekly "Impact!" show until finalizing a TV deal with Spike TV this October. WWE did talk about expanding their web content at the recent conference call so this might be the way they go with both shows.
