ROH Presents: "Survival of the Fittest II" Tonight from Dorchester, MA
On Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 1:20 AM EST Ring of Honor Presents Survival of the Fittest II tonight in Dorchester, MA, with the following card:
-Nigel McGuinness vs BJ Whitmer- ROH Pure Title Match. McGuinness won the title from Samoa Joe at Dragon's Gate Invasion, and defended it successfully last week at Glory by Honor IV against Roderick Strong. Whitmer is half of the defending ROH Tag Team Champions along with Jimmy Jacobs, and is a four time ROH Tag Team Champion. Whitmer was unsuccessful in his only singles match attempt at an ROH singles title back in August 2003.
ROH will also hold the second annual Survival of the Fittest tournament. The tournament will feature six singles matches, with the winner of each match will advance to the main event, a six person elimination match, with the winner to be crowned champion. The six qualifying matches are:
-James Gibson vs Christopher Daniels
-Jay Lethal vs Sal Rinauro
-Samoa Joe vs Milano Collection AT
-Roderick Strong vs Jerrelle Clark
-Ricky Reyes vs Colt Cabana
-Austin Aries vs Jimmy Rave
