Anthony Ramos sent word that Spike TV's official website has opened up a section for TNA Wrestling. The section includes wrestler bios & introduction videos, current news about TNA, a photo gallery and a poll asking fans what they are looking foward to about TNA's debut on October 1st. As of now, the "A wrestling alternative on national TV" answer is the most popular. To check it out, click here.

On a related note, Spike TV's website has already removed anything remotely WWE related. They are putting a huge emphasis on the live UFC event that will be taking place next Monday in RAW's previous timeslot. Some may question where the TNA promotion is at the moment on the website, despite a section being available. Well, the answer to that is simple. UFC programming has proved to be successful, drawing in the 1.3-1.5 range. If TNA has a strong 1.0 debut or higher and maintains it, you can expect more promotion.

Verizon announced today that the WWE 24/7 VOD service will now be available on their new FiOS TV service. That new cable service is only available in one test market in Texas at the moment. If it becomes a success, Verizon has plans to expand into the cable business by running fiber optic cable all over the United States. The company in turn can then provide better picture quality for a much cheaper cable price. This is very good news for WWE as they are continuing to sign on WWE 24/7 for many cable markets.
