Final RAW on Spike TV draws low Rating, WWE signs Diva, SmackDown
On Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 12:07 AM EST The 9/26 and final edition of WWE RAW on Spike TV drew a very low 3.2 cable rating. This is the lowest non-holiday rating the show has drawn all year. Two weeks earlier, RAW drew a 3.3 rating and that was the lowest rating of the year at that time. That obviously wasn't a strong way for WWE to finish on Spike TV.
The 9/23 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew a 2.5 broadcast rating with a 4.3 share. This rating is up from last week's 2.3 number, but is still much lower than what the show was drawing in its previous Thursday night timeslot. As said before, WWE won't get a good idea of what the show is drawing until baseball season finishes as it is causing numerous preemptions in many key areas.
