- Chris Benoit defeated William Regal.
WWE Smackdown Tapings (Air Date - 9/30):
- JBL & Ken Kennedy defeated Rey Mysterio & Bob Holly.
- Melina defeated Christy Hemme (MNM & LOD got involved).
- Undertaker defeated Cowboy Bob Orton (Randy got involved).
- Bobby Lashley defeated unknown wrestler.
- The Peep Show: Christian started talking about how he defeated Chris Benoit and that he deserves a shot at the U.S. title. This prompted Booker T and Sharmell to come out, then Orlando Jordan came out. Teddy Long finally came out and made a triple threat match and the winner faces Chris Benoit.
- Orlando Jordan defeated Booker T and Christian.
Chris Benoit came out and a fatal four way match for the U.S. Title is set for WWE No Mercy.
- Backstage, Vince McMahon, Teddy Long and Palmer Canon were shown talking about SmackDown's match for next week's RAW. Teddy Long said that JBL, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Christian and Batista will all participate, but the stipulation will be a surprise.
- Eddie Guerrero & Batista vs. Heidenreich & Animal.
In the match, MNM got involved, Eddie tried to hit Mercury with a chair, but he ducked and hit Batista. Eddie immediately threw the chair at Mercury and went on the mat pretended to be hit. Batista delivered a spinbuster to Mercury.
Teddy Long came out and showed Batista that Eddie Guerrero was the one that hit him. Eddie was trying to explain, then he hit Batista with the microphone. Then Eddie grabbed a chair and walked to the back getting a countout.
