Although the rating for TNA's debut tomorrow night on Spike TV will be important, it also isn't something that will kill the company's run on the network right away if it turns out being lower than expected. The general feeling among many within TNA is that it is more important to see what kind of ratings the company can bring in within the first month, three months or even six months. The ultimate goal of TNA is to garner more PPV buys after their time on Fox Sports Net didn't increase monthly PPV buys to a profitable level.

In a related note, a recent press release issued by Spike TV for the month of November saw more promotion go towards UFC programming, martial arts films and even a Robocop marathon. TNA was pushed to the bottom of the press release. Again, given that TNA hasn't shown itself to be a draw for Spike yet, this is expected. That could all change very soon based on the kinds of numbers the company can produce for the network.

Despite attending the Impact! tapings this past Tuesday night in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios, TNA has no interest in bringing back Sean Waltman at this point after he no-showed the Unbreakable PPV last month. Waltman did speak with many in TNA management and wrestlers, privately apologizing off to the side for his actions. He came to the tapings on his own and was not invited by the company. As always with pro wrestling, things are subject to change and with word of this hitting the internet already, it is possible TNA could see this and push for a Waltman return to "surprise" people that read otherwise.
