The following was transcribed by Dan "Ho-Ju" Kriegbaum:
Former Buffalo Bill & New England Patriot LB, but more importantly, current TNA superstar "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown, was a guest on the 09/30/05 edition of Monday Night Mayhem -- which can be heard in streaming audio every week exclusively on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayhem.com & AudioWrestling.com -- your official home of "The Spring Break Incident" Video-On-Demand, featuring SmackDown! Diva, Stacy Keibler!). The interview with "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown is now available to hear for FREE in Real Audio!
=========================
The interview opens, with The Big Mosh plugging this weekend's TNA debut on Spike TV, and welcoming Monty Brown to the show. Monty, The Big Mosh, & Blade start with joking about the Bills recent loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and who will win in a battle between Michael Vick & "The Alpha Male." Monty then talks about the differences from being on both the Buffalo Bills, playing with guys like Jim Kelly & Bruce Smith, and the New England Patriots, with stars such as Drew Bledsoe, another former Bill. He states that he just wants to be remembered as a football player, no matter what team. The Big Mosh then mentioned Darryl Talley, a former Buffalo Bill teammate of Monty, who was in attendance at a recent TNA Pay-Per-View -- as Monty gave his takes on what a warrior he was on the gridiron. Monty then sent his wishes to current Bills linebacker, Takeo Spikes, who has been sidelined for the season with a torn Achilles tendon.
The Big Mosh then turned the page to wrestling discussion, mentioning right off the bat, the Spike TV debut. Monty responded by saying Spike TV will be transformed into "Serengeti Television." He also mentions that "the seed has been planted, we watered it, and now it's about to sprout out big and 'The Alpha Male' is going to be at the center of it." Monty also mentioned that whether or not he wrestles, when he shows up, it will be "carnage, carnage, carnage." He then went on to say that it's important that they don't get ahead of themselves in order to succeed, and that they just have to go out and perform how they have been -- to draw attention to the wrestling fans.
The Big Mosh then mentioned the Bound For Glory Pay-Per-View coming up, and Monty's match-up against former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Raven. Monty states that it's an honor to be on the show, wrestling Raven, and is glad that the management in TNA is allowing him to be in such a high caliber match at their biggest ever Pay-Per View. The Big Mosh then asked about how he will train going into this match, which Monty answers by saying his training is always the same, straight forward, and the hardest working, always being the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Continuing on with another match at Bound For Glory, The Big Mosh mentioned Monster's Ball 2, the sequel of sorts to the match that "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown won this past November at Victory Road. With names like Sabu, Abyss, Rhino, and Jeff Hardy taking part in this match, Monty strongly believes that their might not even be a ring left after the match -- naming off reasons with each competitor as to why.
The Big Mosh then discussed some of the recent signings that TNA made, including The Deadly Boyz. Monty answered with saying he would love to wrestle someone like Ray or Devon. He stateed that competition is something he feeds on, and hopes to wrestle anybody that comes in. The Big Mosh then mentioned Samoa Joe as another opponent that would work well with Monty Brown, which "The Alpha Male" agreed with -- saying that they would be like two monsters in the ring, saying that "The Serengeti" will prevail. Kevin Nash is another name tossed out, who Monty says is another huge asset to the business, which will give TNA another name recognition to draw more fans in.
Compare & contrast with the WWE & TNA as of late and building up with the debut of TNA on Spike TV, as the WWE tries to improve their game plan and put on a better show. The Big Mosh compared Bobby Lashley to "The Alpha Male." Monty said that he doesn't know about Bobby, but he knows what Monty brings to the table -- with ring work, mic skills, and his character. Monty compares TNA to being like Bill Gates & Microsoft back in 1986, when he was just starting off -- only to skyrocket later on. Monty mentions that the keys to the rise of TNA are the exposure, and the good work relationship with Spike TV.
Blade then entered the interview for the first time, asking if there will be a change of heel/face with Monty going into the Spike TV debut, in which he answered by saying that his character has always remained consistent, and it will stay that way. The Big Mosh then expanded on that question, stating that in the past threeyears, Monty's character has come full circle, in which "The Alpha Male" agreed -- but added that he's still learning, just like anybody else, and if anyone else doesn't think so, they should leave. Monty said that every match he gives the Buffalo Bill linebacker attitude, just in wrestling tights. When asked by Blade about his most memorable feud so far, Monty mentions that they all were good and all were different, but the ones with D'Lo Brown & "The Monster" Abyss stick out.
The Big Mosh then mentioned Tito Ortiz returning to TNA, for the first time since the Hard Justice Pay-Per-View. While Monty says that it's good for him to be in TNA & on iMPACT, but that he should watch is back, because there are no Huntington Beaches in "The Serengeti." Speaking of the Serengeti, the Buffalo references are thrown out again, with Mosh coining Chippewa, the most famous street in Buffalo, as Western New York's "Serengeti," with Monty saying that Cheektowaga, a suburb of Buffalo, is. Staying on topic of city's in America & Canada, The Big Mosh asked whether on the gridiron or in the wrestling ring, what area is most like "The Serengeti." Monty said that while "The Serengeti" is wherever "The Alpha Male" is, Ralph Wilson Stadium, the home of the Buffalo Bills, is the true "Serengeti."
The Big Mosh then mentioned former Buffalo Bill Head Coach & NFL Hall Of Famer, Marv Levy, and how much he impacted Monty's life. Monty said that while some guys didn't get Marv Levy's motivation, Monty says that he used to write down whatever Marv said on their phone calls, in what he liked to call "Marv's Magniloquent Messages" -- which were Marv's speeches, word for word. Monty says they were so powerful, with Marv's comparisons to real life situations, Monty was ready to take out guys in the meeting room, before they even went on the field. Monty then mentioned that Marv is one of the greatest humans on the planet, in which Blade then joked that it couldn't be the same for Marv's replacement as coach, Wade Phillips. Monty says Wade was a completely different motivator, using old school Texas motives -- being to go out & just play hard. The Big Mosh then joked about how Monty Brown can get an easy win over Raven, by forcing him to watch an old Bills game where Todd Collins was in at quarterback -- which should be enough to put Raven down for the pinfall.
To wrap up the interview, the mission statement for Monty Brown this Saturday night is simply "destroy & dismantle." Monty says that he will continue to make his presence felt tonight, especially at the Bound for Glory Pay-Per-View -- and will welcome everybody, to "The Serengeti" Monty leaves by giving a message to all of his fans throughout the world, including Buffalo, NY --"The Mayhem Capital Of The World" -- POUNCEEE!!!

The rest of this week's all-new slam-packed edition of The Mayhem (9/30/05), is now playing. It features a complete, in-depth preview of this week's WWE Monday Night RAW USA Homecoming, with former WWE Announcer, Kevin Kelly -- along with the artist formerly known as Sign Guy Dudley & Lou E. Dangerously, Lou D'Angeli, to give his thoughts on all of the latest news on the extreme "brothers in arms" and why he was not part of either the Hardcore Homecoming or ECW One Night Stand reunion show.
=========================
We also encourgage you fans who have not already done so to check out not one, but two "instant Mayhem classics" from the month of September."
*A tribute to a lost art, tag team wrestling (9/23/05) -- which featured former eight-time Smokey Mountain World Tag Team Champion, former WWE World Tag Team Champion, and former scout/road agent for World Wrestling Entertainment, Dr. Tom Prichard, joined Monday Night Mayhem to analyze the WWE Unforgiven Pay-Per-View from top-to-bottom -- in addition to giving his candid thoughts on the future of tag team wrestling, what's in store for the WWE as they make their return to the USA Network, what is was like working with Chris Candido as part of The Body Donnas, and being a member of The Heavenly Bodies (managed by Jim Cornette). Does Tom see himself working with Vince McMahon anytime in the future? Could we see him as part of TNA before the end of '05? The program also featured former WWE World Tag Team Champion, former WWE Intercontinental Champion, and the 1999 King Of The Ring, Kip James, making his much-anticipated first appearance on the program -- stepping into The Mayhem squared circle with The Big Mosh & The Angry Hero. With being one of the longest tenured superstars with World Wrestling Entertainment for well over a decade, you know that the artist formerly known as Billy Gunn had a lot on his mind -- from his time with The Smoking Gunns, working with Degeneration X, and teaming with Chuck Palumbo to being a part of the active TNA roster and feuding with BG James once again. What will his role at Bound For Glory be? Does he see another "Monday Night War" in the works anytime soon? If your name happens to be either Vince or Hunter, then listen discretion is highly advised for you. If you're not down Kip being with The Mayhem, we got two words for ya -- Suck it!
*The most extreme & uncensored edition of The Mayhem EVER (9/16/05): featuring "The Original Gangsta" New Jack (who explained the truth on why he was not brought into the WWE to work with John Cena, why he was not at ECW's One Night Stand Pay-Per-View, and what he has in store for the superstars formerly known as The Dudley Boyz) & "The First Lady Of Professional Wrestling" Missy Hyatt (who discussed her life after wrestling, what her thoughts are on the current product -- including the likelihood of her returning to the business, either in the WWE or TNA, why she has not taken part in either ECW reunion show, and her candid takes on Eric Bischoff, Jason Hervey, "Nasty Boy" Brian Knobbs, former Buffalo Bills QB Jim Kelly, Paul Heyman, and so much more). This program would probably be rated IE MA on the Internet -- and is definitely a show that you have to listen to, simply because a recap would just be full of asterisks.
=========================
