The 9/30 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew a 2.4 broadcast rating with a 4.3 share. This is around what the show has been averaging among the numerous preemptions due to baseball coverage.

There was talk backstage at RAW last night that the whole "RAW vs. SmackDown" angle will lead into a match between both rosters at the Survivor Series PPV in November. The other idea is to have a match between General Managers Eric Bischoff and Teddy Long. There is a possibility of having two separate matches as well, although both still remain to be seen. Either way, they did something for a reason last night.

To add to this, WWE.com has added the following preview for next week regarding the storyline: "Plus, after WWE Champion John Cena defeated RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff to retain the championship, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long sent his SmackDown troops to the ring, “gangsta style”. During WWE Homecoming last week, Bischoff refused to allow Long’s SmackDown match to take place. Long retaliated by sending out his SmackDown Superstars to the ring to beat on Cena and Angle. Momentslater, though, the RAW locker room emptied out to even the odds. What will be RAW’s response to SmackDown’s antics last week?"
