Bam Bam Bigelow in motorcycle accident; hospitalized in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Times reports that former WWE, WCW, and ECW star Bam Bam Bigelow was involved in a motorcycle accident in St. Petersburg, Florida yesterday afternoon. He suffered some injuries, but none that are life-threatening. However, his passenger, a 41-year-old female, is listed in “very critical condition.” Neither Bigelow nor his passenger were wearing a helmet.

Bigelow’s reasons for being in St. Petersburg, as well as his relationship to his passenger, are still unknown. The address listed on the Floriday Highway Patrol’s accident report states that he currently resides in Allenhurst, NJ.

Very little detail has come out regarding the accident, except for the fact that no other vehicles were involved. Apparently, Bigelow was trying to change from the outside to the inside lane when the accident occurred on State Road 50 in suburban St. Petersburg. The family of Bigelow’s passenger has not yet been reached for comment, and Bigelow himself has refused to speak on the situation.

Bigelow could very well face legal charges for the incident, including the possibility of a vehicular homicide investigation should his passenger pass away.
