House Show Rescheduled, & More Off Air Notes from RAW in Dallas, TX
On Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 12:37 AM EST Devin Cutting sent this in: The WWE house show in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that was postponed due to Hurricane Katrina has been rescheduled for December 3rd, 2005. Tickets for the original date will be honored on the new date.
BJ Kelly sent in these notes: Thought you might be interested in a couple off air notes from raw. Before the show, Lilian Garcia sang the national anthem. In a funny off-air moment, during the commercial break, after the Austin-McMahon segment, part of the crowd sang "Hey Hey, Goodbye" as officials helped the McMahon's back to the back.
Kevin Hurst sent these notes in as well: I was at the AAC Monday night for Raw. Just wanted to send a couple of live observations.
1. The place was packed. I have been to many Mavericks and Stars games and have seen more empty seats at those events.
2. Lilian Garcia looks way better in person than on TV. And she is incredible at singing the National Anthem.
3. While the wrestling in the iron man match was good, the crowd was bored. More people went to concessions during this than at any other time.
4. The Benjamin-Tomko watch was a good beginning, but was only a 7 minute match.
5. JBL flipped off the crowd as he and the Smackdown stars walked to the back after their match "was cancelled."
6. The Legends all got big pops, but Kevin Von Erich got the largest. The crowd went crazy when he put "The Claw" on Conway.
7. There were about 5 separte "OU Sucks" chants directed at JR.
8. Eddie was over big with the crowd, and Coach received major heat when he
came out.
