WWE Ratings Report: More on RAW rating, how WWE twisted it & more
On Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 3:10 PM EST As reported on late Tuesday, the 10/3 edition of WWE RAW drew a final 4.4 cable rating with a 6.5 share. Over the three hours, the show drew a 3.8, 4.9 and 4.5. WWE issued a press release on Tuesday hyping the show as doing a 4.7 rating. That figure is true, only they pretended like the first hour didn't exist and took the average of the last two hours of the show.
The USA Network later issued a press release stating the show's true rating at a 4.4. It should also be noted that this marks the second week in a row that RAW has lost viewers heading into the second hour. In this week's case, the highest rated segment on the show involved Steve Austin confronting Vince, Shane, Stephanie & Linda McMahon. That segment drew a strong 5.0 quarter hour rating.
With Heat and Velocity now officially on WWE.com, the only weekend show WWE ran was the first airing of the "RAW Exposed" programing on 10/2, drawing a 1.7 cable rating. The repeat of the show the following night on 10/3 drew a 2.8 cable rating.
