Update on Mike Goldberg & WWE, No Mercy tickets, & WrestleMania 22
On Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 2:05 AM EST There remains no official word at this time regarding Mike Goldberg signing with WWE. According to reports, UFC is said to have been upping their offer to keep Goldberg from signing with WWE. We have also heard reports that Goldberg has heard what it's like working for Vince McMahon and has second guessed jumping into the world of professional wrestling and how it may affect his future announcing opportunities if things don't end up working out. Goldberg did not handle announcing duties for the UFC PPV last night, but wasn't scheduled to take part in the first place due to a previous commitment.

As noted earlier this week, tickets for the No Mercy PPV tomorrow are not moving well. There are tickets available in every price range at this point and many freebies in the local Houston area are said to be easy to come by. A Houston dealership is currently advertising that you can show up and get free tickets. To make matters even more funny, you don't even have to test drive or take a brochure to get the free tickets.
On a related "ticket" note, tickets for WrestleMania 22 in Chicago go on-sale next Saturday, October 15 at 10am Central/11am Eastern. Ticket prices are $750, $300, $200, $100, $75 and $40. The All-State Arena only holds up to 18,000 people so a quick sellout is expected.
