The show started with a video recapping what happen at No Mercy this past Sunday and then after that the Smackdown promo came on with the fireworks display.

Segment 1:
Then Randy Orton came out with his father Cowboy Bob Orton. They went on about how they ended the Undertaker's career. After that Orton said that he should be once again become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Then Eddie Guerrero came out saying that he wants one more shot at Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. Batista came out and said that they should face each other tonight to determine the #1 contender.

Segment 2:
Before the match Orlando Jordan said that if he tapped out to the crippler crossface then he will Quit. Orlando Jordan didn't say that if he didn't win the title then he would quit.

Chris Benoit defeated Orlando Jordan with the Sharpshooter.

Segment 3:
8 Man Tag Match
William Regal, Paul Burchill, Mercury, & Nitro with Melena in their corner VS. LOD, Super Crazy & Psicosis with Christy Hemme and Juventud. The winners of the match were LOD, Super Crazy & Psicosis.

After the match a New tag team Appeared and after researching on OVWrestling.com I think their names are Chad & John Toland.

Segment 4:
The Peep show with Stacy Keibler as Christians guest. Jillian Hall wanted Stacy to join her as her image consultant. Stacy wanted nothing to do with Jillian Hall and slapped the living taster out of her.

Segment 5:
Fatal four Way Match and the winner gets a shot a Chris Benoit for the U.S. Title next week.

Booker T defeated J.B.L, Rey Mysterio, and Christian.

Segment 6:
Ken Kennedy came out and introduce himself for the San Antonio crowd and stating that since he didn't have a match tonight he didn't want to disappoint the San Antonio Crowd.

Segment 7:
Bobby Lashley defeated Nuzio with Big Vito in his corner.

Segment 8:
Teddy Long was talking to Palmer Canon about what was in Smackdown's best interest. Then the Boogey Man showed up and cut a promo backstage.

Segment 9:
Eddie Guerrero defeated Randy Orton via DQ due to Cowboy Bob Ortons interference. Both Ortons were beating up Eddie when Batista came out to save Eddie.

(NOTE: This is where I think the show ended) Then Teddy Long came out and set up a tag team match between Eddie & Batista Vs. The Ortons. Eddie got the win by using the Frog Splash on Cowboy Bob Orton. NOTE: This may or may not be televised.

Notes from the Show:
Biggest Pops:
1. Batista
2. Stacy Keibler
3. LOD and Christy Hemme
4. Melena's Entrance
5. Chris Beniot
6. Rey Mysterio

Biggest Heat:
1. Randy Orton
2. J.B.L.
3. Ken Kennedy

During Rey Mysterio's entrance his pyro went off prematurely.

Chad & John Toland "The New Tag Team" ran out threw the crowd right next to me.

Batista's pyro display at the very end of the show that probably wont be televised was alot louder in person then seeing it on televison.

Here is a photo of the Boogey Man character which looks more like Freddy Kruger:

Stuart Hamblin sent in this report also:

Watched the taping from WWE Friday Night Smackdown from San Antonio last night. The crowd was stacked to camera side of the ring. (Having great tickets means jack if all you get to seen is the backs of the Wrestlers and more of the Ref than anything else). Practically all the upper levels, usually where I sit when getting Raw tickets, was empty.

Velocity Taping was fairly much dead with little to no reaction from the crowd. Although a little heat for Simon Dean and Sylvain and Bob Holly got a bit of a Pop. A few high spots got some reaction but all in all no-one was getting into it.

Smackdown was a little better. Although the seemed to screw up just about all the Pryo spots. (Unless it is like this and then fixed thru the magic of TV) Rey's Pyro went off at least 3-4 minutes before he popped up. Bookers Pyro went off with it's usual Bang but the Puslesating flames only worked on one side of the stage then started to work when the match started. Batista's pryo ended the show after the Eddie/Batista Vs the Ortons Match (Which I am sure was not shown as it was quite funny. Batista immitating Eddie a bit. Batista "Accedently" hit Eddie in this one). It was made to look like Batista's was just entering the ring even though it was the final thing of the show.

Super Crazy & Psicosis defeated William Regal & Paul Burchill was actually a 8 man tag team with LOD w/Christy Hemmy teaming up with the Mexicools and MNM teaming with Regal & Burchill. This ended with 2 new wrestlers dressed in black doing a number on the Mexicools. Which got huge heat and a big "Who are you?" chant going because no-one had any idea who they where?

Mr. Kennedy made an appearance did a spot and got quite a bit of Heat as well. (Did not Wrestle)

In the 4 way match with Booker T, JBL, Mysterio & Christian. Christian seemed to come off on the bad end of a JBL Clothline from Hell. Really seemed shaken up and after the match exited out the left of set instead of the main entrance.

Bobby Lashley is huge in person (Built like a rock).

Boogy Mans Promo got a bit of heat as did the JR Raw Firing clip.

Hot (No Particular order)
Batista
Rey Mysterio
Eddie Guerrero
LOD

Heat (No Particular order)
Mr Kennedy
Jillian Hall
Unknown Wrestlers
Ortons

A lot of people where disapointed at no Undertaker (Who had been hyped as main eventing a 6 man tag team here on local Media).

Also, the group of Aussies sitting in my area made the night most enjoyable, colorful to say the least. Without them it may have been very dull indeed.
