Update on seriousness of Chase Stevens injury, Sabu, & primetime show
» Reported by Adam Martin of WrestleView.com
» On Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 8:58 PM EST

As reported on yesterday, Chase Stevens suffered a neck injury at the first batch of TNA iMPACT! tapings that will air this Saturday on Spike TV. Stevens ended up landing on his head after reversing out of a rock dropper in a spot involving Buck Quartermain. According to reports, Stevens suffered a small fracture to his C-5/C-6 vertebrae. He also has a herniated disc. We do know that Stevens will not require surgery over the injury and The Naturals have not been booked for the Genesis PPV on November 13. He isn't expected to be out for very long, although some wouldn't be surprised if he was ready to go by the Genesis event in three weeks.

We also reported on yesterday that Sabu suffered some kind of an injury to his foot. We can now confirm that it was a broken toe. He suffered the injury during a big Six Man Tag Team Match that will air in two weeks on the big 11/3 primetime show on Spike TV. He is scheduled to face Abyss at the Genesis PPV on November 13.

According to both reports and people that attended the taping, the big TNA primetime special that will air next Thursday on November 3 is said to be a very strong show. The strongest matches taped for the show includes the Ultimate X rematch involving Matt Bently, Chris Sabin & Petey Williams and a Six Man Tag involving X Division Champion AJ Styles, Sonjay Dutt & Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels & Alex Shelley. There are some within TNA already predicting that this show will be a major turning point for the company.
