Jushin Liger's impression in TNA + Spike TV looking for ex-WCW talents » Reported by Ryan Allen of WrestleView.com

- Although Jushin Liger was booked for the Tuesday, October 25 Impact tapings, he had to head back to Japan early due to a previous engagement that came up on the schedule after he had agreed to work the Impact taping.

For now, Liger's only appearance with TNA will be the now pasee Bound for Glory PPV where he faced Samoa Joe. Many were left scratching their heads after Joe defeated Liger with such ease. Originally, the plan was for Liger to tap out to Samoa Joe, but instead they went with Liger passing out. For the most part, TNA management wasn't overly impressed with Liger.

- Spike TV wants to see TNA recruit some more "well known" names for its programming. TNA is currently looking at various wrestlers from the late WCW era who didn't make the jump to WWE when WWE bought out WCW.

This request made by Spike has some members of TNA's mangement upset because they want to present TNA as a true alternative with solid wrestling and new characters rather then a more "Sports Entertainemnt" oriented show, which is what Spike is used to when they refer to wrestling.

Many within TNA feel that if they meet Spike's request to add more entertainment to the show in a non-wrestling form, they will be viewed as a WWE knock-off rather than a promotion that offers pure, professional wrestling.
