Update on Ric Flair "Road Rage Incident" -- More story from the driver
On Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 3:49 PM EST To add on the earlier report added by Bob Magee about Ric Flair's now infamous "road rage incident" in Charlotte, WSOC TV in Charlotte updated their story last night regarding the assault charge against Flair.
According to the updated story, a driver is accusing Flair of attacking him on Wednesday, November 23 after an incident on Interstate 485 in Charlotte. The driver stated to the local police that he noticed someone flashing their headlights behind him. At this point, the driver said he hit his brakes and the vehicle behind him pulled up along side him. The driver said he immediately recognized the driver as Ric Flair.
At this point, the driver claimed Flair got out of his car, walked over to the vehicle, grabbed him by the neck and then damaged his car. Police issued a statement that there are currently two warrants out for Flair, one for simple assault and another for damage to personal property. According to Flair's attorney, Richard Finnell, Flair is said to be unaware of the warrants and would be back in Charlotte today. We have heard of at least one news report that Flair turned himself in today, but that can't be independently confirmed at this time.
