WWE® Friday Night SmackDown!® Superstars to host Press Conference

Monday, December 12, 12:00 NOON (crews to arrive by 11:15am)

WHO: WWE Friday Night SmackDown Superstars World Heavyweight Champion Batista™, John “Bradshaw” Layfield™, Booker T®, Randy Orton™, MNM™, Sharmell™, SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long™ and Friday Night SmackDown announcer Michael Cole™.

WHAT: Press Conference to announce “ARMAGEDDON”, coming to Providence Sunday, December 18

WHERE: Dunkin’ Donuts Center

WHEN: Monday, December 12, 12:00 NOON

WWE Superstars World Heavyweight Champion Batista, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, Booker T, Randy Orton, MNM, Sharmell, General Manager Theodore Long will be on-hand announcing WWE’s ARMAGEDDON Pay-Per-View event which comes to Providence’s Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Sunday, December 18.

This year’s ARMAGEDDON will feature a main event will feature Randy Orton vs. Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell Match along with World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Rey Mysterio® vs. World Tag Team Champions Big Show® and Kane®. In addition, WWE Tag Team Champions MNM will take on Psicosis™ and Super Crazy™.

To give you some history and highlights on this astounding event, the first Armageddon event took place in 1999 in Orlando, FL where fans witnessed WWE Champion Big Show defeat Big Boss Man™ and Triple H® beat Mr. McMahon™. In 2000, Kurt Angle® defeated The Rock®, Stone Cold Steve Austin™, Triple H, Undertaker® and Rikishi® in a Six-Pack Hell in a Cell™ Match to retain the title. In 2002, Triple H defeated Shawn Michaels™ in a Three Stages of Hell Match to win the World Heavyweight Championship. In 2003, Triple H defeated Goldberg and Kane in a NO DQ Triple Threat Match to win the World Heavyweight Championship. In 2004, fans in Atlanta, GA witnessed John Cena® defeating Jesus in a Street Fight to retain the United States Championship and Kurt Angle defeating Santa Claus.
